Learners will get an introduction to & start developing their growth mindset
I have 6 years of experience as a classroom special education teacher, 20 years of experience as a tutor, and 5 years of experience as a homeschool mom. In all 3 of these settings, I have seen firsthand how a child's mindset can make or break their road to success. I found Big Life Journal and their amazing resources as a homeschool mom and have been using them with my own children but also want to offer this as a group experience for the 2020 school year!
Some weeks will have optional homework that needs to be completed as a family.
Each family must have their own copy of "The Growth Mindset Activity Kit" from Big Life Journal: https://biglifejournal.com/collections/all/products/growth-mindset-activity-kit-pdf Other supplies needed: a notebook or paper/drawing supplies, white or light-colored flat or smooth stones, markers, empty jar or container, stickers/ribbons/decorations, nature craft supplies (fresh & dry leaves, sticks/twigs, pine cones, sticky tack, googly eyes, rope, etc), a pillow/blanket, any other household items you can use to complete your activities.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
