In this engaging class, learners will practice and enhance their growth mindset through dynamic skits, fun activities, and exciting games. With a focus on facing challenges, embracing mistakes, positive self-talk, feedback, learning from failure, transforming "can't" into "can't yet," and putting their minds to work, students will cultivate essential life skills that will empower them to face any obstacle with confidence and resilience. Join us for an unforgettable journey of personal growth and development! What exactly is a growth and fixed mindset? ⭐︎A growth mindset means a person believes their intelligence, talents and abilities can improve with effort. The growth mindset embraces challenges, perseveres in the face of failure and focuses on the process instead of the outcome. Example: "I'll ask for help, and then practice." ⭐︎A fixed mindset means a person believes their intelligence, talents and abilities are fixed and won't change. Often times the fixed mindset will avoid challenges, give up easily and focus on the outcome. Example: "I'll never get it." As this is an ongoing class, learners can start at any time and will progress through a 40-week growth mindset curriculum. Please feel free to drop in for a single class or topic, or participate in all of the skits, games, and activities. The class will be broken down into three parts: ☞Introduction: The class will start with an introduction where we will get to know each other and share how we applied a growth mindset in our daily lives the previous week. This will allow learners to reflect on their experiences and share with their peers, building a sense of community and support within the class. ☞Main Content: The main content of the class will involve skits and task cards, games, or activities that will focus on developing the growth mindset. The specific activities will vary each week to keep the class engaging and exciting. ☞Challenge: At the end of each class, the learners will be challenged to use the growth mindset lesson in their daily lives for the following week. They will be encouraged to reflect on their experiences during the next class. By the end of the class, learners will have a better understanding of the growth mindset, and how it can be applied in their daily lives to help them achieve their goals.
