32 in-class hours
Homework
1-2 hours per week. Each lesson is followed by an assignment that will help students to reinforce the concepts learned during class. Assignments due for the week are posted on the class announcement at the beginning of each week. All assignments are submitted electronically. Students receive feedback within 24 hrs of each submission.
Assessment
Summative assessments will be optional and available to students. The goal is to provide students with exposure to what a standardized assessment looks like without adding the anxiety that comes with testing. Student achievement will be measured formatively in the form of discussions, and assignments.

📆How is this class structured?
I will cover a new lesson each class. Practice will be assigned after each lesson. 

🌸Can I earn credit for this class?
Students who complete the full unit (and their assignments) can submit this documentation and apply for credit at their local school. Many schools also offer an option to test out of this class and place into other higher math units.

🌸I struggle in math, can I join this class? 
Absolutely! Remediating students in math is one of my specialties.

🌸Who normally takes this class?
This class is for students who have completed Grade 2 math.

My instructional time will focus on 3rd grade standards. In grade 3, there is a special focus on the following critical areas: Multiplication and Division, Fractions on a Number Line, Measurement and Data, Geometry, Word Problems, Time to the Minute, Scaled Bar and Picture Graphs, Area and Perimeter.  Please see the course description for a complete list of all the topics covered in this course.
