Then, we will go over any notes from class or the textbook used by their teacher at school on that topic. The student is welcome to share their screen with any content provided by their school teacher, or just discuss with me. After this, I will assess their current understanding of how fractions and decimals are related through a guided discussion involving some questions and visual examples...
Fractions: - identifying fractions - writing equivalent fractions - comparing and ordering fractions - simplifying fractions - adding and subtracting fractions - converting improper fractions to mixed numbers - converting fractions to decimals Decimals: - converting decimals to fractions - comparing and ordering decimals - adding and subtracting decimals Solving word problems with fractions and decimals.

I will supply all necessary learning and practice materials. However, the student is welcome to bring their school work and specific questions. A notebook, pencil, eraser and calculator are optional. The session can be completed entirely on the screen and whiteboard shared on the computer screen.
