Class Experience

US Grade 3
The class will begin by discussing what the student has learned about fractions and decimals so far. Then, we will go over any notes from class or the textbook used by their teacher at school on that topic. The student is welcome to share their screen with any content provided by their school teacher, or just discuss with me.

After this, I will assess their current understanding of how fractions and decimals are related through a guided discussion involving some questions and visual examples on the zoom whiteboard.

Next, we will complete any school work/homework that needs to be finished on the student's part. If there remain any gaps in their understanding of any aspect of operating with fractions or decimals, I will work with the student on some additional questions on the computer screen to solidify their understanding.

Students are welcome to use their own notebooks or write entirely on the white board provided on the computer screen.

Hello!

My name is Rose Bobiarska. I work with elementary students to develop their understanding of content covered in school curricula. I also have experience in helping students who struggle with dyslexia and dyscalculia.

My first goal for every student is that they are up to speed on everything that is going on in their classes at school, and that they go to school feeling confident about what they're learning.

Once we have that taken care of, I work to draw out the best quality of work from every student, whatever that may mean for them individually.

I hold my students to high standards, which I set to reinforce the progress they make on their learning journey.
The subject areas I work in most often are language arts (reading and writing), math and science. However, whenever students come with struggles in other areas, there is almost always a way for us to work together still!
