US Grade 2
In this Grade 2 Mathematics class, learners will... * Extend their understanding of base-ten notation * Build fluency with addition and subtraction * Use standard units of measurement * Describe & Analyze Shapes In this class, I will facilitate mathematics lessons on Zearn by screen-sharing and inviting the children to participate, where they will also get signed up for a free account with parental permission for practice and review between sessions! Learners will make notes with the lessons as they follow along and share their ideas with the group. We'll also play fun games using Khan Academy Kids and Blooket so that the learning is engaging and memorable! Wednesday, January 17 - Practice making ten and adding to ten. Wednesday, January 24 - Practice making the next ten and adding to a multiple of ten. Wednesday, January 31 - Add and subtract like units. Wednesday, February 7 - Make a ten to add within 20. The lesson topics that follow can be found in the Grade 2 Curriculum on Zearn's website! I hope you'll join our class and learn how the POWER of mathematics can help you solve problems!

I’m Mr. John.
I am a teacher who has worked professionally for 10+ years. With experience from Kindergarten up to 12 in the classroom and online, I am also a Kindergarten Specialist with additional qualifications in Special Education, Music, and Mathematics who works with children of all ages including those with diverse learning needs!
I teach a Minecraft Coding & Creative Class for groups. I also tutor Accelerated English Programs for Early Literacy, Accelerated Mathematics Programs for Elementary and Secondary School Learners, Coding, Minecraft Education, GarageBand and more for 1-1 meetings.
My love of learning in my own life drives my passion for teaching. All learners are welcome! I encourage ESL, neurodiverse, and any other learners who think they may benefit from my programs to try them out!
With a room full of instruments, you’ll likely experience fun performances throughout our classes that can help keep things exciting and unique. I usually spend time in nature and with my family when I’m not teaching or jamming! Let’s learn together on Outschool!
