In this one-time session, learners will practice simplifying fractions to compete in Gimkit. Class will discuss several examples that learners struggled with from a round. Divide by common divisor to find the reduced equivalent fraction.

In this course, learners will connect and play rounds of Gimkit game by simplifying fractions. (Gimkit is free and there is no need to create an account). Game code will be shared in class zoom chat.

There are 11 questions in the game and students will compete in a small group to earn the most cash (game currency). Since there are 11 questions that will be practiced the session will be held for 30 minutes. 
In this class, we will go over examples to review for the game. Apply strategies to find common divisor and reduce fraction to simplest form. Students may compete with other learners and use "sabotage" options on other players.

Goal of the session is to practice simplifying skills and interact with other players in class.
