Description

Class Experience

In this course veteran beekeeper Mark Brown will take students through each piece of equipment needed to start beekeeping.  Students will discuss:

- Different hive types - langstroth hive, top bar hive, the new Flow hive (famous from Indiegogo!)
- Bee suits - what to look for when buying new or used.
- Basic beekeeping tools
- Honey making equipment
- Where to get bees
- The financial outlay for each piece of equipment

Mr. Brown, founder of Headwaters Academy, is an expert in building the bridge from concept to practice and has built programs around the world on this expertise.

He is a veteran beekeeper of 8 years in two different countries and climates.
