Get Your Facts Straight PreK- K: Addition and Subtraction within 10 is a positive, fun, interactive class where participants interact with each other and the teacher. Students will use manipulatives, drawing, games, and stories to practice counting, adding, and subtracting within 10. Students will develop, practice, and share strategies for counting and problem-solving in order to strengthen their mathematical foundation. This class is appropriate for PK or beginning Kindergarten students...
Learners will practice counting, solve addition and subtraction word problems, and add and subtract within 10, e.g., by using objects, drawings, and stories to represent and solve problems.
Counting tools (manipulatives like cubes, beans, pennies, etc.) Writing tools
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 15 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
