Geometry Volume of Prisms, Pyramids, Cylinders, Spheres Multi Day Class

**** Students must have a clear or somewhat clear understanding of multiplying by decimals, they will be multiplying by 3.14 for many of these problems********

During this week long class students will learn how to apply a total of 4 formulas in order to find the volume of prisms, pyramids, cylinders and spheres. We will focus on one type of shape per day. I will start class by introducing the shape and formula we will focus on that day. I believe in staying very organized when solving problems that require multiple steps such as these and will teach these organization skills to the students. After students have worked on a few examples with me and can apply the formula well to the given shape they will work on independent practice work. Students are not required to do homework but will always be given a few problems to work out on their own if they wish to and can always ask for help through the classroom link or in the following class day. We will focus on skill based problems. Students will leave each class with a good set of notes to use as needed. 

Day 1: Volume of prisms (Triangular and Rectangular Prisms)
Day 2: Volume of Pyramids
Day 3: Volume of Cylinders 
Day 4: Volume of Spheres
