In this ongoing course, children will get a chance to work their muscles and expand their minds with fun exercises and bootcamp style activities.

Class experience

Students will learn gross motor skills and movement skills.  Students will learn motivation, participation and listening skills.  Students will learn to be confident in their abilities and learn to love exercise.
Students need to dress comfortably.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Important: Ensure that your child has ample space to participate in these activities.  This may include some outdoor space, a room in you home with enough floor space, or something of that nature.  Ensure the safety of the room or area.  Make sure there are no breakables, sharp items or large unavoidable objects.  This may make the activity dangerous and much less enjoyable.  The activities will not involve any weights or heavy items due to the age and maturity of the students.  We will be using bodyweight exercise and movements that are age appropriate.  Please provide water for your child during the activities to avoid dehydration, although the exercises will not be vigorous in nature.  Students are advised to stop if too tired, and we will provide periods of rest between periods of activity.  This is an entry level exercise session, so the main focus is gross motor function, balance and coordination.  The focus is not on muscle building, overexertion or intensity.  We are here to move and have fun!
