In this super fun one time class, we will sing several songs in French. We will sing songs that would typically be sung in French preschools and primary schools! Let's have some fun!

In this class, we will sing a lot of fun French songs! We will sing songs that are fun and engaging for children. The songs will be accompanied by motions that will help children to remember the words. Come and sing with me! We will sing: Mes Petites Mains - My Little Hands Hérisson tout Hérissé - Hedgehog all Spiky CouCou Hibou - Hello Owl And as time permits: Les Petits Poisson dans L'eau - Little fish in Water Savez-Vous Planter les Choux - Do you know how to Plant Cabbage 1, 2, 3, Nous Irons aux Bois - 1, 2, 3, We Will go into the Woods and many more...! In my classes, I use a wide range of teaching techniques to capture and hold young learners attention. We will sing songs, dance, play games, and use physical movement. I also use puppets and stuffed animals in my classroom to help motivate young learners to participate in the class. Children are encouraged to speak in French during the class, but they are never forced as this can lead to developing a negative relationship with the language. I strive to make my classes as fun and enjoyable as I can for young learners so they develop a life long love of learning languages. This class is taught in a mixture of French and English. No previous experience in French is required.

Parental Guidance
If the student choses to, they can act out the motions to the songs with me. Please make sure your child has enough space in their learning area to perform these activities and please always supervise your child. Thank you!

My name is Angela Nannenga, and I am so happy to be your child’s French teacher! I have been teaching French both online and in person for several years now. I have a bachelor’s degree in elementary education with a minor in French. I love teaching children and watching them have fun while they are learning. My main goal for all of my classes is for the children to have fun and enjoy themselves while they are learning. At this age, it is important for them to develop a good relationship with the language and associate positive emotions with speaking and learning French.
