Class Experience

This class is for students who have had a basic class and have learned the days of week, months, numbers, colors and basic greetings. We will cover body parts and clothing. This will include them making a "monster" and labeling the body parts. They will learn also how to describe the outfits they wear and also those of their classmates. This will be the first two weeks of class. We will cover French Food and how to go a a restaurant and order. They will learn how habits in France surrounding food differ from other countries as well as vocabulary necessary to talk about food. After that we will be talking about clothing and fashion. For the 7th week in class we will then talk about sports that are popular in France and everyday life in France and other Francophone countries. They will be able to tell me about the sports and or activities that they enjoy taking part in . We will learn songs and play games that reinforce the vocabulary. The last weeks will focus on grammar, speaking and reading of French at a level that is appropriate to their ability.
As long as the student is in a quiet space which is quite important, our computers will not be muted. It is essential that they speak in this class. Noise reducing headphones are great for noisy houses. The class will be structured for the students to speak in French as much as possible.
My learning style is to give positive encouragement to all students.

Learning Goals
