Formative assessment.Class Experience
This course is for learners who have intermediate-beginner level in French. Learners who register in this course should know the following: how to introduce themselves, the colours, vocabulary about parts of a house, fruits, classroom objects, saying I like, I dislike, seasons, months of the year, days of the year, food, hot drinks, greetings, saying bye, asking and saying their age, clothes, weather, countries, hobbies, describing food, and numbers 0-100. This class will be taught in French. In this course, learners will be sent files to print out prior to start each class, please be sure to have the material ready to use it during classes as different activities will be part of this French language learning. Students will learn important vocabulary making sentences to get good and wide foundation in the French Language. PowerPoint presentation, videos, songs, props and creative activities will be used in this course. Students might get assignments to study what they learn in class. Learners will learn how to say the time in different ways using the number of minutes and O’clock, sentences in present tense will be learnt by talking about daily routines, comparing a school timetable/schedule, students will also learn nationalities, conjugation of verbs ending in “er”, describing characters, numbers 100-1000, vocabulary and phrases about traveling. There will be 2 reviews one in half course and one at the end of the course. The breakdown of this course is as follows: Lesson 1: The time (O'clock/half-past) Lesson 2: Daily routine (Sentences using verbs in present tense) Lesson 3: The time, counting minutes (quarter past, quarter to, 24h) Lesson 4:Avant, Après (when comparing timetables/school schedule) Lesson 5: Verbs -er (conjugation in present tense. Lesson 6: Review (Lesson 1-5), Lesson 7: Nationalities Lesson 8: Physical description Lesson 9: Character description Lesson 10: Numbers 100-1000 Lesson 11: Travelling Lesson 12: Review Units 7-11

I am multilingual, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Foreign Language Teacher Education and an Early Childhood Education Diploma. I speak Spanish, French, and English. I have also attended the following workshops/trainings in Canada: Science of Early Childhood Development-Play, Science of Early Childhood Development-Language and Literacy, Science of Early Childhood Development-Introductory Level, Transition Planning Intermediate Level, and Adult Education-Intermediate level. I have been teaching French and Spanish languages for over eight years. My students range from toddlers to adults. I have lived and worked in France and Mexico. Currently, I live in Canada.
I offer the following skills: Ability to engage students from a wide range of backgrounds, interactive lesson plans, good interpersonal skills and a passion for languages. I am an active listener and team player. I like to do crafting and science experiments with my family. I also enjoy learning to cook different kind of dishes, lately I have made Asian dishes such as brown rice and eggplant. I like travelling and I have learnt the culture of the languages that I teach where the languages that I speak are the mother tongues.
