Learners will practice how to introduce themselves and others with confidence and respect.Week 2Lesson 2The Art of Polite RequestsPoliteness opens doors. This week focuses on the etiquette of making requests, ensuring learners can express their needs graciously in any context.Week 3Lesson 3Mastering Active ListeningActive listening is key to effective communication. Students will learn techniques to improve their listening skills, fostering deeper connections.Week 4Lesson 4Understanding Body LanguageWe decode the silent language of gestures and postures, teaching learners how to read and use body language to enhance their communication skills.Week 5Lesson 5Principles of Respectful CommunicationRespect is the cornerstone of all social interactions. In this class, students will learn how to introduce themselves and others, make polite requests, express gratitude, and demonstrate active listening. They will also learn about appropriate body language, respectful communication, and cultural sensitivity.
With over 20 years of teaching experience, Jonathan has taught a wide range of topics to learners of all ages. He also has a bachelor's degree in computer science with honors and extensive experience teaching conversational English to children and adults around the world.
Homework Offered
Each week, students will be given a project related to the topic covered in the video lesson. Projects may include writing a thank-you note, practicing introductions with family members, or conducting a cultural research project. Homework is designed to take approximately one hour per week.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
