Note: This class is somewhat Fall themed, since the lyrics of song we will be learning include word “pumpkin”. It will be offered again in the Fall, but If you are interested in taking it now feel free to request the times. This is the 1st lesson in the series of 3 lessons that will introduce beginners to the basics of playing the piano. Students will learn about good piano posture and hand position, groups of 2 and 3 black keys, sounds on the piano, and will learn how to play "Peter, Perter," on the black keys (part 1).
Homework Offered
Students may complete their workbook assignments and practice playing the song they learned during the class. Short video tutorial will be available after the class.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

2 files available upon enrollmentSince learning to play piano is a hands-on process, an access to a piano or piano keyboard is highly recommended. If you don't have one yet, there will be a PDF of a keyboard for you to print out. You can print out several copies and tape them together to make a paper keyboard. Other supplies that are recommended for this class to make learning more engaging and fun: 1. Favorite stuffed animal. 2. Red and blue pencils or markers 3. Small stickers or mini erasers to mark the keys. 4. Paper to write on or printed Workbook (PDF will be provided)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Young learners might need parent's assistance during the lesson.
