Piano Lessons for Busy Teens / ADHD Autism Friendly | (8-Week)
This is a set of 8 piano lessons for teens and tweens of all levels.
Teens are really busy. I try to work with them. If they need every-other week lessons, I will work with them. If they need more challenging lessons- same thing, whatever is needed for the child at the given time.

Constructive criticism will be given, and we build upon what we already know, so it should be fun!Class Experience
A keyboard or piano is required. This course introduces students new to the piano (or keyboard) to how to play the instrument. Or if the Learner has taken piano before, continues where the Learner left off. ALL levels are taught. I meet the Learners where they are now! Beginners: generally, learners will learn how to sit properly at the piano and learn to play short tunes. Other general keyboarding instructions will be given as needed. A fun way to learn play music! Objectives: 1. Students will meet each other and play for each other if they can play any pieces yet. 2. Proper positioning at the keyboard. 3. Finger numbers 4. Note names 5. Keyboard geography (where are high and low sounds, where is up and down on the keyboard) 6. What is a pitch 7. Beginning note reading starts, introducing note values (e.g. what is a quarter note) 8. Volume levels are introduced (playing loud and soft on the keyboard and played 9. Students learn to play by copying the teacher and by pre-reading music. 10. Review what we have learned so far by playing for each other and discussing what we have learned. In addition to the music from the books, we will learn some songs by heart. Songs learned will be: Happy Birthday, Yankee Doodle, and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, and if there is time, themes from various TV shows or movies.

Parental Guidance
I recommend students practice toward a goal instead of a given amount of time. The amount of time a person should practice is definitely dependent on age and level of ability and motivation!
