Students will start class by reviewing what a percent is. Once this is established we will go into finding the percent of a whole amount. Students will be given a strategy that can be applied to any type of problems involving percents. With this strategy students will be able to find the part, percent or whole amount. Students will apply the strategy to skill based problems and a couple of word problems. At the end of class students will have notes that will be applicable to problems involving percentages.
