Class Experience

Before taking this class students should know how to subtract with and without borrowing.

In this fun subtraction class students will be challenged to find the missing digit or digits in an equations. At the beginning of class we will talk about different strategies that will help us. We will also solve a few equations without a missing digit to get us started. Students will be able to share their ideas on how to find the missing digit and ask or answer questions. Students will need a piece of paper and pencil or a dry erase board and marker.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
