Figuring Out Fractions – “FUN”damentals
This week will focus on foundational fraction concepts including pictorial representations, simplifying fractions, and comparing and ordering fractions. Students will engage in interactive activities to gain an understanding of these fundamental concepts. 60 mins online live lesson
Lesson 2:
Figuring Out Fractions – Adding & Subtracting Part 1
This week will focus on concepts that support addition and subtraction of fractions. Students will explore fractions on a number line, common denominators, least common multiple (LCM) greatest common factor (GCF), adding, subtracting, and borrowing fractions. 60 mins online live lesson
Lesson 3:
Figuring Out Fractions – Adding & Subtracting Part 2
This week will continue focusing on concepts that support addition and subtraction of fractions. Students will explore fractions on a number line, common denominators, least common multiple (LCM) greatest common factor (GCF), adding, subtracting, and borrowing fractions. 60 mins online live lesson
Lesson 4:
Figuring Out Fractions – Multiplying & Dividing
This week students will uncover the secrets of improper fractions, mixed numbers and the art of multiplying and dividing fractions using the power of storytelling. Students will unleash their imaginations as we weave fraction multiplication and division concepts into entertaining tales, creating a fusion of literature and mathematics! 60 mins online live lesson
