Class Experience

US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 1
In this ongoing course, your learner will expand their sense of emotional intelligence and improve social skills through a variety of interactive activities. Each week learners will participate in short personal discussion, engage in an interactive read-aloud that teaches a concept related to emotions and/or social skills, and complete related extension activities to put it into practice. (a game, drawing, etc.). Learners will have weekly opportunities to practice communication and other important social skills needed to develop healthy relationships with other.

Each session will follow a similar structure. Specific activities, games, and prompts will vary from week to week. Although new emotions will be introduced weekly, past lessons will be referenced and concepts will be reviewed throughout the lesson to ensure all learners can access the activities from week to week.

1. Whole Group Share Out: learners will answer a question about themselves/their opinion
2. Concept Introduction/Read-Aloud:
3. Activity/Extensions: learners will "try-on" the concept through a game or art based activity
4. Closing: learners will share their work and answer a closing question
