In this interactive course, children from PreK through 1st grade are invited to embark on a journey through the enchanting world of stories and imagination. Each week, we'll gather together for a LIVE read-aloud where we'll dive into captivating stories and books filled with wonder and excitement. I have over 10 years of teaching experience with students in K-8th grade. As a Special Education teacher, I intentionally worked to include reading for fun in my instruction to support learners who typically find reading difficult or boring, to see the magic in literacy. As a book lover myself, I continue to find joy in reading and love sharing my passion with my students. I consult with library specialist to inform my text choices and ensure each lesson helps lay the foundation for a lifetime of reading.
Learners will not need any materials during the live sessions. Supplies for extension activities will be posted at least one week before the related lesson.
