Welcome to "Story Time Adventures with Ms. Jaclyn!" In this interactive course, children from PreK through 1st grade are invited to embark on a journey through the enchanting world of stories and imagination. Each week, we'll gather together for a LIVE read-aloud where we'll dive into captivating stories and books filled with wonder and excitement. We'll explore different text types from fiction to non-fiction, and classics to new releases! Each book will include engaging illustrations and images to ensure your learner wants to listen from start to finish. Learners will participate by answering questions, singing songs, reciting fun rhymes, and discuss our highs and lows of each story. But the fun doesn't stop there! After each story time session, learners will have the opportunity to complete a related activity designed to spark creativity and reinforce learning. Whether it's creating a craft, painting a scene from the story, or even acting out their favorite parts, there's plenty of hands-on fun to be had. So, if you're looking for a fun and relaxed way to ignite your child's love for reading and storytelling, join me for Story Time with Ms. Jaclyn! I have over 10 years of teaching experience with students in K-8th grade. As a Special Education teacher, I intentionally worked to include reading for fun in my instruction to support learners who typically find reading difficult or boring, to see the magic in literacy. As a book lover myself, I continue to find joy in reading and love sharing my passion with my students. I consult with library specialist to inform my text choices and ensure each lesson helps lay the foundation for a lifetime of reading.
