Topics in the game may include: -the four waves of feminism -notable female figures in history and the present -reproductive rights -legislation that protects/prohibits...
Students will learn new information about feminism and supplement knowledge they may already have, hopefully developing a new interest in feminism and related topics.
I have taken numerous classes on how to talk about sensitive topics as well as classes in gender and sexuality, women's studies (including violence against women, women in religion, women in musicals, African American women and literature, and feminist theory. I have also participated in productions of feminist productions such as The Vagina Monologues and One Billion Rising by V (formerly known as Eve Ensler).
A phone or tablet to use to answer questions for the Kahoot game.
Scores in Kahoot (but that's just for bragging rights!)
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
While I will not be talking about mature subjects in great detail, the ideas of reproductive rights and legislation might be mature for some learners.
Kahoot.it A phone, tablet, etc. to access the website.
