Class Experience

This class is part 2 of Exploring Sign Language. We will continue with learning basic ASL.
Students will learn by interaction with myself. I will show students the sign and then ask them to repeat that sign. When students are making the sign I will watch them and praise them when the sign is done and gently correct if needed. Students will have interactions with other students by practicing with each other in class. During this class I use a combination of pictures, games, and other visual aids. The class time will as follows: introduction (3 minutes), warm up/review (3 minutes) lesson (15 minutes) wrap up/practice with others (5 minutes), closing/homework / whats next (4 Minutes).

I love American Sign Language and I enjoy teaching this beautiful language. I have taken 4 years of formal ASL classes. I have also taught middle school ASL in a traditional classroom setting. I also enjoy signing songs in ASL for different events. This class will be fun and low key, but students will learn many new signs in a short time. I been teaching on Outschool for over a year and have taught over 500 learners!
