In this two week course, students will go through the writing process while learning how to write an expository/informational essay. Students will be given an essay prompt and we will go through how to brainstorm on the prompt, write drafts (one paragraph at a time), format the essay, and edit/revise. Students will be asked to complete each step of their essay outside of class if they do not finish during class time.
Paper and a pencil are recommended for the brainstorming process. Students are able to write their essay digitally or on paper.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 20 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
