Class Experience
This 1:1 class will begin with a formative assessment to identify key areas where improvement or study is required. This will assist those who are concerned about gaps in learning. I am qualified to teach all Primary years and can offer lessons in any area of the curriculum that are required. Below is a list of subject areas that can be covered according to learner requirements. Lessons will be taught in a variety of methods, presentations, reading and writing, games, songs and homework. Subject areas : Spoken Language: -listen and respond appropriately -clearly communicate and justify answers, arguments and opinions -give well-structured descriptions, explanations and narratives for different purposes -select and use appropriate registers for effective communication Reading -word reading with fluency and confidence -comprehension (both listening and reading) -pronunciation of unfamiliar printed words (decoding) Writing -transcription (spelling and handwriting) -composition (articulating ideas and structuring them in speech and writing) -vocabulary, grammar -orthography (spelling structure) of words -audience, purpose and context -creative writing techniques - 11+ prep - Creative writing - Grade specific Language Arts Please use the 'alternative time' button to book a session according to your schedule, or send me a message to set up a weekly session.

I have 7 years teaching experience, in a variety of settings, classroom, clubs and online.
I have a BA (Hons) degree in English Literature, a Diploma in Teaching Literacy in Primary and Secondary schools and I am a qualified English Language teacher with TEFL. I am currently studying an MA degree in English Literature. I also have a Diploma in Child Psychology.
