Class Experience

This class is meant for children learning English as a second language.

Please consider applying to this class if your child can read basic sentences and comprehend simple grammar. Also, if you enroll in this class, remember that there can be up to 2 students per session, so I ask that both students are respectful and patient! Group classes can be a lot of fun when learning about fun themes! The general expectation is that each student has a Beginner-Intermediate English skillset. The teacher is glad to guide and help as needed.

Students will be introduced to the Safari Kid on his fourth trip across the world. This is the fourth level in the series, and it will focus on Safari Kid's voyage to the mountainous nation of Bolivia. We complete lots of vocabulary and reading exercises, so students will be reading and speaking for a large portion of the class.

I always strive to make my students feel comfortable and happy to be in class. My teaching style is positive, energetic, humorous, and engaging. I try to make a stress-free environment while maintaining productivity and ensuring the class runs smoothly. My main goal is to deliver a high-quality ESL lesson that will help the student to feel more confident in their abilities. At the Beginner or Intermediate levels, students are developing their English speaking and reading, so I am here to guide them through the experience. I ensure that classes with more than one student deliver equal speaking and problem-solving opportunities.

If your child is shy and you want to find a patient teacher, that is me! Parents often tell me that their child is shy and they may need extra patience and explanation. I excel in this area and am happy to take that into consideration.

I am qualified because I have a 120 Hour ESL Certificate, 2 bachelor's degrees, experience teaching hundreds of different students of all age groups, online and in-person experience, experience working with students from varying countries such as China, Mexico, Korea, Colombia, Honduras, and Spain. I've tutored immigrants in the USA, too. I speak both English and Spanish.

Please send me a message if you have any questions, and I will respond as soon as possible. Thank you for reading my description, and I hope to meet you soon!
