Class Experience

We will look at shapes and discuss what we can turn the shapes into. Perhaps a triangle could be used with other shapes to make a snake or a duck. We could make a circle into a cookie or even a porcupine. It’s fun to use shapes to create things in our world.

Examples will be presented to get the juices flowing.

The teacher will also have 3-D shapes to show and objects to compare to the shapes to see how the learner can recreate it.

Each learner will have many opportunities to share their thoughts and creations. The possibilities are endless!
Learning Goals
The learners will be aware of different shapes and how many things in our life represent these shapes.

Teacher expertise and credentials
All my classes are informal and encourage the exploration of thought and conversation. No two classes are the same!

Exploration and discover brings you to thought out conclusions and comprehension of perspective. Let’s learn through play and conversation. I have taught grades pre -K through 8th grade in the public school setting here in Oklahoma, U.S.A. Since 2017, online teaching has bloomed and blossomed in my household offering me tickets to visit all around the world from my computer screen. I have students all over the globe! I was glad when I did finally get to go to the other side of the globe and visit some of my students in China.

I earned my Bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Education, a Masters degree in curriculum and instruction with emphasis on teacher leadership, and TESOL certification. I’m a mother of 5 and a published book author of 7 books and counting. Here recently, I began making my own natural skincare and body care products and opened my own boutique. I am part of a non-profit orgaization helping moms that need a support system and resources to be successful. My two youngest sons have opened up their own shop here recently to offer some fashion and fun for boys. Even my daughters and myself like wearing their merchandise for ourselves. We may be busy many days, but we are busy doing the things we love. I am here to help you with the things you love as well with my hands on classes and personalized experiences.

We are an animal-loving family in this house. We currently have rats and a cat (ironic, I know!). We have had: rats, hamsters, gerbils, red claw crabs, a salamander, hermit crabs, a rabbit, cats, dogs, fish, and guinea pigs (until I found out the hard way that I am allergic to them). We actually had many of them at the same time!

Being motivated and having drive and goals are infectious! Join me and let’s see where this journey leads though the different disciplines. I look forward to seeing you in the classroom!
