In this one time course students will learn how to draw flower doodles step by step. This class will provide simple and clear step by step instructions that will help beginners to draw fun floral doodles. Each student will be encouraged to be creative and make their floral doodles their own while following the basic steps. Each student will have an opportunity to share their favorite floral doodle. Class structure will be the following: -Welcome (introductions, name, and favorite flower) -Discussion on embracing mistakes in drawing and learning not to compare your art to someone else’s -Step by step floral drawing. We will aim to draw around 6-8 flowers depending on flow of the class -Art sharing

Hi! My name is Amanda and I have been teaching since 2012. I have an elementary teaching background, however I am an avid reader and love all things British and classic literature.
I have always enjoyed teaching and am currently teaching preschool gymnastics and running a homeschool program at my local gym. I’ve taught in various settings which include a homeschool cooperative, a preschool, public school, and as a tutor in Reading, Math, and English literature. I have taught a wide range of ages and here on Outschool I offer different classes for elementary-high school ages.
In addition to teaching online, I am a homeschooling mom to 2 wonderful children. I believe learning comes in different forms and no one size fits all. I believe kids learn best when following their passions and taking classes that interest them. My teaching style is casual but also involves socractic dialogue to encourage critical thinking.
In my spare time I enjoy reading, painting, embroidery, and DIY projects around the house. Fall is my favorite season and Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and I enjoy cooking a feast. I am a true book nerd and am obsessed with British Literature and Jane Austen. My family and I enjoy the outdoors, playing board games, watching documentaries and British shows.
