In this class, students will step into the life of the artist through the work he left behind. Students will explore inventions, cultures and other artists who influenced Vincent van Gogh as a person and as an artist. Students will learn basic painting techniques, terminology, perspective and how to apply it to their own unique art piece.Students will learn how to clean up their creative space and tools. We will be studying specific art pieces he created throughout his life and the story behind the art. Students will follow along with Ms. Crystal step-by-step to create their own masterpiece. Students are encouraged to participate with the class by asking questions and sharing their progress. After students have finished their artwork, students are welcome to share on the classroom board. Recordings will be made available after each class for reference. Breakdown of weekly study: Week 1: Sunflowers Week 2: Starry, Starry Night Week 3: Bedroom Week 4: Portrait

In this class we will be learning about the life of Vincent Van Gogh. We will not be discussing his death.
