What's included
Class Experience
Each lesson, the students will follow the dissection steps in the video while dissecting several animal specimens. Parents should monitor this class as the student will be using a scalpel which is very sharp. Starting with an earthworm, we will work our way up to a frog in these lessons. There are no in-person meetings, the students will follow along with a pre-recorded video. Week 1: Clam and Earthworm (2 videos) Week 2: Crayfish and Starfish (2 videos) Week 3: Grasshopper and Perch (2 videos) Week 7: Frog (we will only meet one time this week, but there the dissection will take a bit longer) Students will need a specimen kit from Home Science Tools for this class. The student should also have a pair of latex (or other like material if they are allergic to latex) to wear during the lessons. These can be purchased very cheaply at most dollar-type stores. Each week, students will be required to follow the assigned video and fill out the short homework assignment (usually vocabulary).
