Dinosaur Stomp a Fun Class About Dinosaurs
This one time class combines learning and dinosaurs into one. We will make a Volcano erupt, listen to a song about 5 dinosaurs, sing a song about a baby Brachiosaurus , and color our very own T-Rex.

Class will start out with a finger play about 5 large dinosaurs. These crazy dinosaurs keep getting into all sorts of trouble along the way. Students will help Teacher Lauren count down the dinosaurs from 5-1. Next students will color and decorate a dinosaur of their own. Using their imagination students can add things such as polka dots, stripes, or maybe clothes for their dinosaur. Students will then learn a fun finger play with simple movements called " The gigantic baby dinosaur". In the...
•Students will be taking part in a simple subtraction poem. We will be taking one dinosaur away and using proper subtraction vocabulary. •Students will be able to identify and learn simple facts about several common known dinosaurs. • Students will take part in a simple scientific experiment about erupting volcano.
Students will need: •Very small paper cup (The little bathroom cups work well. •Small Aluminium Pan •Old or cheap play dough (You will not beable to use this playdough agian) •Red food color • 3 tsps of baking soda • 1/2 Cup white vinegar Worksheet in the classroom Markers and Crayons
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
25 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
During class students will be making a volcano erupt. Students will need a parents assistance during this part of class as they will be using baking soda and vinegar. Caution should always be used when working with any type of scientific experiment. Due to Outschool's policy we ask that parents stay off camera while assisting your student. Play-doh may contain wheat, which could cause an allergic reaction if ingested in those sensitive to wheat gluten or with Celiac disease.
