Beginner Level
Detangle With Me - We will be doing our OWN hair. This is an interactive workshop where students will get to learn first hand how to detangle their own hair. Through a lesson, demonstration, Q&A, and hands on training this workshop style works for most of not all learning styles. By the end of this workshop students will know how to detangle their hair in a way that is not damaging. Since this is a skill that takes practice there will be a recorded version that the students can refer back to, should they need a refresh. Agenda Ice breaker game: Hair Care Myth or Fact / Riddles Quick Introductions: Each student can share their name and an interesting fact. Presentation: Short PowerPoint deck that provides instructions and information that will be used for the hands on portion. Q&A: Although we will answer questions throughout the workshop this time is set for anyone who has any last minute questions before we actually start the detangling process. Hands On: This is where we would actually start to detangle and implement the steps and instructions we ran through previously. Closing thoughts: Time set for any last minute questions or thoughts about the detangling process.
Learning Goals
Students will know how to detangle their hair in a way that is not damaging.Students will gain confidence by learning to detangle their hair
