Descriptive Writing Techniques
This one-time class teaches upper elementary level students how to level up their descriptive writing using techniques such as including sensory details and using figurative language.

US Grade 3 - 5
This is a highly interactive class with a mix of lecture, discussion, and questions and answers. I will help students choose a topic for writing a descriptive paragraph. Once they choose their topic, students will list attributes that describe their topic. Then, I will help students "level up" their descriptions by teaching them how to use three types of figurative language (similes, metaphors, and personification) and sensory details.
