In this class students will dive deeper into decimal place value by learning about the tenths place.
Class experience
-Students will learn how to correctly read whole numbers and decimals including the tenths place. (21.4 would be read as twenty one and four tenths). -They will also learn how to display whole numbers and decimals using base 10 blocks and google jamboard. -Students will interact with each other and the teacher by correctly building decimals using google jamboard. -Students will learn that when place values get bigger, you multiply by 10 and when they get smaller you divide by 10....

We will be utilizing kahoot. Kahoot requires parental consent. We will be doing Kahoot during the last 8 minutes of class. If you do not want your child to participate they can leave class early! In order for your child to use Kahoot they will need to input a code that I will give them during live class. No account is needed. We will also be utilizing google jamboard. For this, students will need a google account and access to google jamboard. Please make sure they can access google jamboards before class begins so when I share the jamboard with them they can participate in all of the fun activities! If you do not wish for them to have a google account that is fine! They can still follow along during class!
