-Students will learn how to correctly read whole numbers and decimals including the tenths place. (21.4 would be read as twenty one and four tenths). -They will also learn how to display whole numbers and decimals using base 10 blocks and google jamboard. -Students will interact with each other and the teacher by correctly building decimals using google jamboard. -Students will learn that when place values get bigger, you multiply by 10 and when they get smaller you divide by 10. -Students will complete a 5 question Kahoot to test their knowledge during the last 8 minutes of class.

Parental Guidance
We will be utilizing kahoot. Kahoot requires parental consent. We will be doing Kahoot during the last 8 minutes of class. If you do not want your child to participate they can leave class early! In order for your child to use Kahoot they will need to input a code that I will give them during live class. No account is needed.
We will also be utilizing google jamboard. For this, students will need a google account and access to google jamboard. Please make sure they can access google jamboards before class begins so when I share the jamboard with them they can participate in all of the fun activities! If you do not wish for them to have a google account that is fine! They can still follow along during class!

Hello! I am a sixth year teacher currently teaching in Pennsylvania. I have my Master's Degree in Special Education from Slippery Rock University. I also went to SRU for my undergraduate degree in Elementary and Special Education. I have taught both Math and Reading in self-contained and collaborative settings so I have experience with high and low learners. I also have taught social skills in a self-contained setting. I really enjoy teaching Math and find that a lot of kids struggle with Math but with my help, they start to love it! I believe Math and learning should be FUN so I try to make everything that we do enjoyable by including movement and songs into my teaching! Even my 5th graders have loved to move and dance to Math! I hope you will consider joining me to learn Math and have fun!! A little bit about me, I have a dog named Josie and a 1 year old boy. We LOVE to go on adventures to the park and to the zoo!
