Informal and ongoing.Class Experience
US Grade 4 - 5
This one-time lesson is packed with strategies and tips to calculating your multiplication facts: Single and double-digit multiplication. My teaching style revolves around 3 principles that I demonstrate in class: Learn, practise and review. The class structure includes flash cards, white-board demonstrations, and question & answer segments. The learners will have many opportunities to share their tips with each other, and me in solving the multiplication facts. The lesson is informal in its structure , organized in its’ content and fun throughout. Flash cards will be used throughout the class to review your multiplication facts. Learners with a basic understanding of adding, subtracting and division will be able to understand the material covered in this class. However, all levels are welcome as we cover the multiplication facts and best practises together. Games will be included in the lesson in order to review the lesson content.
Learning Goals
Learners will learn, practise and review their multiplication facts, as they increase their tool kit for strategies in calculating single and double-digits. With the use of flash cards in a repetitive manner, the learners will become better with their recall, increase their confidence which improves their understanding in their personal math journey.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello families,
My name is Ms. Paula . I am excited to be your learner’s new teacher with Outschool. I am looking forward to our time together in class. My interests are vast, but I am focusing on math (multiplication more specifically) and tutoring sessions for learners that either want to learn, want to have better recall or build additional confidence in their multiplication facts. I love arts and crafts and being creative. I bring a creative twist to my classes. Respect, kindness and patience are important to me; these traits I bring to each class. With gratitude, I am in awe of the OutSchool platform that allows learners to really enjoy interesting topics presented in various ways for learner comprehension and fun.
My education background includes a Bachelor of Arts. My studies included a major in English and a minor in Psychology (a great learning base for working with learners of all ages). I value learning through fun and demonstration where open and respectful discussions can occur. My travel background taught me plenty, as I lived in Dubai as a flight attendant for several years where I further developed my interest in fitness: power walking and now running.
I am looking forward to meeting your learner in my class; a space for understanding, fun, respect and gratitude.
Cheers,
Ms. Paula (or Ms. P)
