Beginner - Advanced Level
Learning how to write a premise is a skill that will help students become published authors. In addition, this skill will also help them create elevator pitches and loglines in the event they wish to try for a traditional publishing contract or pitch to film/TV producers. Creative Writing: Write Your First Chapter is a live one-time, one-hour interactive class where students will learn what a premise is, how creating a premise will help them, and will receive instruction on the structure of a premise. They will then create their premises, receive immediate feedback, and write the first chapter during the remaining class time. They will be able to ask questions and receive immediate feedback on their writing.

Pre-Requisites
Students must have basic knowledge of grammar and punctuation.
Supply List
A two-page handout will be provided. Students may also want to have a notebook/journal and pen/pencil.

I am a published author and own a publishing company. I have been a contributing author for an international best-selling book, and I have published magazine articles. I've attended writing conferences, met amazing authors, and have had enlightening conversations with experts in the publishing industry, including editors, agents, and publishers.
I have helped authors with developmental editing and beta reading.
I have worked with authors on writing their books through critiques, story building, and world building.
I've also worked as a personal development coach for entrepreneurs and executives, been interviewed on numerous podcasts, and have been a speaker on virtual stages.
I have four grown children and three grandchildren. I've worked with children from multiple countries on their English skills, and ran a home daycare when my children were young. Reviews
