Description

Class Experience

Goal 1: to take a risk and have fun
Goal 2: to understand rhyming words
Goal: 3. to create a unique poem or rhyme
I will assign no homework, but parents are encouraged to talk about rhyming words with their children. Reinforcing what we discuss in class will help your children remember the context of the rhyming pairs. Some students may want to finish their illustration after the class if they find that they need more time. If this happens, I usually ask students to show me their work during the next class that they attend.
BLANK, WHITE paper is ESSENTIAL. CRAYONS are ESSENTIAL. Students may use pencils to write words. There may be times when we use scissors and a glue stick.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Parents are always welcome to ask for feedback on their children's progress.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
There will be times that we may be using Google Slides to present materials that are relevant to the lesson. For example, if we are on a lesson that has to do with the letters of the alphabet, or words that begin with certain vowels, I may use Screen Share to present pictures or words on Google Slides that go along with the lesson. Google Slides will only be used during screen sharing in class.
