When first learning to read, children do best with shorter instruction that is tailored to their needs and they thrive with individual attention. I love to work with younger age groups because they get so excited each time they understand a new concept. Often times, young children have a hard time staying focused in longer classes so it is not necessary to lengthen their time learning, especially when they are receiving one-on-one instruction. I hold a BA in administraion as well as an ESL certification. I have also completed more than 120 professional development hours in the Sciences of Reading. I have been teaching young learners to read for more than 18 years.

I will reach out with informal progress updates if I feel it is necessary. I will also post notes in the classroom after each class. Please feel free to reach out to me at any time too to inquire about your child's progress.
