This is a class for students 8-12 years old or 3rd-6th grade. Is your writing missing a certain spark? Do you have a hard time writing sentences longer than 4 words? Are you unsure of what you can add to make your writing more interesting? If so, this is the class for you. In this one time class, students will learn how to expand a sentence from a noun to a complex sentence full of adjectives, temporal words, verbs, and more. Students will go through the process of slowly adding more details to their sentence until they have a complex, captivating, rich, detail packed sentence. Students will have the opportunity to share throughout class as well as the opportunity to share out their fully expanded sentence.

I am a former Elementary School teacher. I taught mainly 3rd - 5th grade, but I have a wide range of experience with students in 2nd grade all the way up to 8th grade. I have 8 years of experience with before and after school programs, camps, classroom, and private tutoring experience.
I have classes in a variety of subjects from math, to reading, to writing, to baking, to life skills! My classes are all born out of my personal passions and I believe that passion shows during each of my classes. I try to ignite the same spark in each learner I teach.
I believe learning should be hands on, interactive, and differentiated for each student. I love to engage students in my classes with humor and facial expressions. I also believe that learning begins with a connection, so I work to build a connection with each student and make sure they feel welcome and included in our class.
I have 2 dogs and 3 cats who all think they are excellent teachers as well!Reviews
