What will be taught:
Students will learn a sentence is a group of words that express a complete thought.
Students will learn to understand in order to complete a thought, a sentence must tell who or what. 
Students will learn to understand not only a sentence tells who or what, but what happens. 
Students learn to understand that every sentence begins with a capital letter and ends with an end mark.
Students will learn to understand when a sentence does not express a complete thought is called a fragment sentence. 
Students will learn to understand the four kinds of sentences. The declarative, interrogative, imperative, and exclamatory. 
Students will have a writing challenge using the rules they learned to complete a writing activity. 
How will it be taught:
Students will practice sentences through Nearpod, doc cam, discussions or slides.
Students do not need any previous knowledge. Good for students who need more practice with sentences.
Learning Goals
Students will learn what is a complete sentence, fragment sentences, and the four kinds of sentences. There will be some writing involved to practice what we learn.

Parental Guidance
Parental guidance is helpful in case of technical difficulty or help for logging on to the zoom. Students do not need any expensive toys, furnishings or other items. They do need well designed space that is safe for the student to do activities/projects. Parental guidance is necessary incase student needs help with an activity with guidance. Such as gluing, cutting with scissors etc. There are no third party websites that will be used for each week for the lessons or signing in for accounts.
