What will be taught: Students will learn a sentence is a group of words that express a complete thought. Students will learn to understand in order to complete a thought, a sentence must tell who or what. Students will learn to understand not only a sentence tells who or what, but what happens. Students learn to understand that every sentence begins with a capital letter and ends with an end mark. Students will learn to understand when a sentence does not express a complete thought is called a fragment sentence. Students will learn to understand the four kinds of sentences. The declarative, interrogative, imperative, and exclamatory. Students will have a writing challenge using the rules they learned to complete a writing activity. How will it be taught: Students will practice sentences through Nearpod, doc cam, discussions or slides. Students do not need any previous knowledge. Good for students who need more practice with sentences.
