Creating Cactus: Watercolor Workshop

Hello Parents!

My name is Ms. Jackie and I come from sunny California! I specialize in teaching yoga and visual arts to children of all ages. I’ve been teaching students professionally since 2019, during which I taught mostly ESL and Art. I’m now transitioning into teaching kids yoga.

I began my yoga journey when I was only 12 years old. I fell in love with it and I carried this practice with me all the way through high school and college. It completely changed my life by making me a more happy and healthy individual. Yoga has also been scientifically proven to reduce stress, increase focus, and improve overall health. It’s perfect for kids of all ages! In my yoga classes your child will learn mindfulness, relaxation techniques, confidence, self-awareness, and self-love. I’m certified in teaching kids yoga and I’ve completed my YTT 200 Hrs.

I’m also a self-taught watercolor artist. I began painting when I was in college just as a hobby, but over the years it became more than just a hobby. Art has been my favorite form of self expression and it’s helped me learn so much about myself. Children have the most creative minds, and it is my passion to guide them towards a being a better artist. 
I began my art teaching journey when I lived in Vietnam as an English teacher. I volunteered at non-profit organization for kids and adults who were affected by the chemicals Agent Orange. I created art lessons and projects for them to help cultivate their curiosity. Now, I want to continue giving the gift of art to your learner.
