Students will learn by looking at artwork by the artist, teacher demonstration, and independent work time. Students will check in with the teacher after the demonstration to ensure understanding. The teacher will check in with each students as they progress through the lesson. This lesson will cover The Pop Art movement and how to implement art elements to create a work of art inspired by Roy Lichtenstein.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their understanding of color focusing on a pop art style. Students will be introduced to the Artist Roy Lichtenstein and receive some background information. Lastly, students will increase their creative arts abilities by implementing different media.

Supply List
Paper, coloring materials, old newspaper, scissors, colored construction paper if possible (not required), glue, pencil.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hey! I am offering this class to expose students to artists while creating their own masterpiece. I believe I am the perfect fit as I am a certified art teacher who has spent many years fine tuning her craft on exposure to Art with a mix of different art mediums. Art is subjective and it allow students to find their own creative outlet while learning skills along the way!
