Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
Welcome Outschool Families!

Let's gather to learn or enhance our letter recognition abilities of the Alphabet through crafting! Students will meet once a week, and encounter the various aspects of learning their ABC's in a fun and hands-on way.

Students will be introduced to one letter each week! Each meeting will include a mini lesson of a single letter in both forms, uppercase & lowercase. The teacher will go over the proper pronunciation of each letter we cover together, as well as, providing students with worksheets to practice and develop handwriting skills.

As students discover their ABC's, they will use their creativity while making a pre-designed craft displaying their letter. Each craft a student makes, they will utilize a paper plate as their focal point! These paper plates will turn into an object or thing for each letter of the week. For example, if we are working on the letter A, learners will turn their paper plate into an apple (the teacher will complete a step-by-step example for them to follow...with encouragement to use their creativity for colors, etc.).

Students are able to join class at anytime as we focus on one letter a meeting.

Welcome! My name is Jessica (Teacher Jessica). I have my Master's in Elementary Education (multiple subjects)! I have taught in the 6th grade classroom, and as of the last four years I have been teaching here on Outschool!

My teaching experience has given me the knowledge and tools necessary to ensure all students can thrive inside and outside of the classroom. Being an elementary school teacher, I enjoy and have fun teaching in all areas; as you may notice with my class listings I enjoy doing a little bit of everything!

I love to enhance learning development, and to watch each student grow individually. I look forward to meeting your child!

Aside from work life, I have a husband and three little ones! Outside of teaching, we love to be outside in nature, reading is life, and family time is everything!
