Beginner - Intermediate Level
In this one-time class, students will learn to weave strips of colored paper together to create a patterned weaving and a small basket. We will start by looking at examples of weaving patterns and discussing how it relates to foundational art (color theory, balance, composition, pattern), and by cutting our pieces of colored paper into strips. We will create a “loom” from a single piece of construction paper and weave our flat strips into it to create our pattern. When finished, we will share...
