Class Experience
US Grade Kindergarten - 12
Beginner Level
Coding is the new literacy! In this private class, the student will learn coding by creating fun interactive projects in Scratch. Scratch is a free programming language and online community where you can create your own interactive stories, games, and animations. I will tailor each project to a learner's specific interests and capabilities. The student will also learn about visual language, the basics of design, digital art, and visual communication. Experience: No prior coding experience is required. Knowing some coding wouldn't hurt. Must know: students need to be able to use a computer. Knowing how to click and drag and drop is required. Recommended: Being able to go back and forth between Zoom and Scratch websites or having someone to help at the start of class would be needed if you are using only one device. Having a mouse is helpful but not required only if the learner knows how to drag and drop without a mouse. Important note: I can teach this lesson in any of these languages: English, Armenian and Farsi. Let me know if you want me to speak Armenian or Farsi to your learner.
