I have been a homeschool parent and certified teacher for the past 25 years. For the last ten years I have been a Charlotte Mason home educator. I have studied the Charlotte Mason volumes in depth and have co-led a Charlotte Mason co-op for the past three years. The lessons offered in this course are what I teach my own (ten) children weekly. My aim is "lay the feast" for students to experience and have a relationship with great composers and artists.
No homework but students may continue to do hands on projects on their own.
Basic art supplies: paper, pencils, water colors, crayons. If learners keep a Book of Centuries they are welcome to bring it to class in order to add artists/composer dates. I will post supplies for each specific class in that week's classroom.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
I will be showing a Google Slides presentation for the artist portion of each class. I will have audio and/or YouTube videos of orchestras playing the composer's music.
