Class experience
US Grade 3 - 6
This is the same class as the Multisensory Phonics and Phonemic Awareness for emergent and struggling readers, but this class is for the older readers. This class will follow the same curriculum, but I am hoping my older students will feel more comfortable in a class of their peers rather than with the young pre-readers. In English we have 26 letters to represent the 44 different sounds in our language. This class will cover a different rule in each class, along with Kilpatrick's Phonemic Awareness drills that will help a child to increase their speed of word recognition.
I am a Reading specialist at a high need title 1 school. I also have a private practice where I provide intervention to students who have dyslexia. Teaching reading is my favorite thing in the world. If you are struggling or just need support I would love to be a resource to any family working to improve their child’s reading fluency/comprehension.
