Description

Class Experience

In this class, students will practice their deciphering skills to solve math story problems.

In this class, we will meet and solve a variety of story problems that require the use of addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division to find the answer. Students will learn about keywords that signal which of the operations will be required, as well as receive some review on how to solve addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division problems.

Students will improve their analysis skills of math story problems.

A one-page handout listing the steps for solving math problems will be posted in the classroom as a guide for students.

25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
