Class Experience

This class will begin with an explanation of what a budget is and why to create one. It will also include a short discussion on the average American's finances, a walk-through of two basic budget options (on paper and online), and conclude with discussion about budgeting and planning for future expenses. As time permits, students will also have the opportunity to ask questions about money management and planning for the future. Students will get the most from this class by coming ready to be involved in discussions and ask questions.

There is no prior knowledge required for this class.
Learning Goals
By the end of class, students will be able to explain why they should budget, and how to do so. They will have a broad understanding of the affects of debt and why some people choose not to budget.
