Class Experience
Students will improve their reading comprehension, fluency, vocabulary, and decoding strategies. They will also learn to read and think about what they read so that they can better understand themselves and the world in which they live, which improves metacognitive skills and learning. Students will become a part of an online community bound together by books. Most importantly, they will learn to love literature and become life-long readers.
Please purchase or borrow the books. I highly recommend students listen to the audiobook as they read along as it enriches the experience. The schedule is above.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 15 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
